Students at EES will be walked to Memorial Hall and Sandhill Park by an ESP monitor. Students at FMS and EMS will be walked to Sandhill Park or biked to Saxon Hill by an ESP monitor.

Intro to Mountain Bike 430925 A

This clinic is designed to introduce young riders to single-track trails and the “mountain bike” experience. We will focus on safety awareness, proper technique, and skill-building, trail etiquette, and fun. Riders should already be comfortable riding their bikes on rail trails and neighborhood roads.
*Students will bike to Saxon Hill from FMS with the instructor. In the case of severe weather, this class will not be able to meet.*

• Masks covering both nose and mouth must be worn at all times during indoor programs.
• Students will wash/sanitize hands at beginning of the program, before and after snack, after using the restroom, and at other times deemed appropriate by our staff.
• Students will be spaced 6 feet apart as often as is possible.
• Students who can not attend school for Covid safety reasons (travel, close contact with an infected person, temperature, etc) will not be admitted to our program that day.
• Any ESP equipment used by students will be cleaned at the end of the day for each program.
• Buses used for MetroRock will be cleaned between uses.

Tennis 430923 A

Kids on the Ball, founded by Jake Agna in 2000, is a nationally acclaimed tennis program based in Burlington, Vermont. Over the past two decades, thousands of area youth have participated in the various programs learning life skills and lessons disguised as tennis.

K-2 will receive tennis instruction from 2:30-3 pm. 3rd-5th grade will receive tennis instruction from 3-3:30 pm. Students will have supervised playground time at Sandhill while the other age group is playing tennis.

Everyone loves to play with Legos. Each week, an AEP staff member will present the participants with a set of challenges such as the Blind Build, Amazing Mazes, the Name Game, or Musical Monsters.

Intermediate Mtn. Bike 430925 B

This Mountain bike youth clinic series will focus on building skills in order to safely improve riding on single-track trails. We will cover a variety of topics including roll downs, small drops, hill climbing, bunny hops, and having fun while doing it. Riders should be comfortable mountain biking on intermediate trails that are similar to Saxon Hill with rock and roots sections.

*Students will bike to Saxon Hill from FMS with the instructor. In the case of severe weather, this class will not be able to meet.*

Calling all thrill-seekers. MetroRock’s climbing and adventure program is the place to be. With 16,000 square feet of climbing and a high ropes adventure course with over 20 different elements, the possibilities are endless. Join us as your child builds confidence, makes new friends, stays active, and has a blast.

Transportation to MetroRock is provided. Pick-up will be at Metrorock.

Students will learn to create Zentangle art, repetitive patterns, and a creative process that encourages mindfulness and focused attention. In addition, each class will start with a brief mindfulness session where we will learn a new skill each week. Basic supplies included.

Woodworking 430917 A

Love to build? Want to make something out of wood? Come try your hand at woodworking. Pick one of our many fun projects and we will walk you through how to build it. Learn how to use hand tools, make sawdust, and have some fun. (There are no power tools in this class.). No experience is necessary and you get to keep all your completed projects.
